OPPO Find5 shot proof testing

OPPO Find5 as the world's first camera-equipped with Sony's latest 13 million stacked the first model, in terms of film imaging capability will be the Ascension? Now let us look at the OPPO Find5 shot sample!

Members such as the "stack-webcam" no idea, before you can love machine science articles in the popular science: the relationship between the stacked with back-illuminated CMOS.

Note: may be the firmware, now with Find5 take out each picture, the shutter is 1/15 of a second, ISO 100, the EXIF is wrong. And Find5 ISO is not adjustable, can be automatically. I trust in future firmware updates will solve the problem of error EXIF.

Daytime shooting

Shot on location in Shenzhen window of the world, next to the bar street:

Bar street a group of European-like buildings, here is a good site.

Find5 in normal shooting mode, the picture did well, thanks to 1300W camera, detail capture as well.

But what is puzzling is, such a sunny sky, according to point shoot out of the sky will appear more pure, but when programmed to view proofs, found in some dark corner of the sky will be a lot of noise. Pictured above is a picture of 100% on screenshot, you can see the noise is more noticeable.

This figure is above the 100% shots, 1300W value experience here.

Because Find5 HDR effect is not very good, this backlit image editor is also not above using a HDR shot, but building and sets the focus to the junction of the sky. If focusing on building on Central, the background sky is completely into a sea of white, loss of detail. If the focus in the sky, the sky is shown, but the building will become a black. So at this time we should focus on the building and sky junction, so that proofs can clearly show the building and sky.

This figure to Find5 4 times digital zoom shot, standing in the same location as the previous film.

Now small series 100% screenshot and screenshot 4 times digital zoom in comparison with (including 100% original screenshot larger than 4 times digital zoom, small in order to better contrast the zoom). In fact, the digital zoom, there is no meaning, because digital zoom is also magnified the already small enough pixels to achieve a multiplier effect. 1300W this stack is not a new HTC and Nokia 808 One super pixels, so this Digital Zoom effect may be even worse than the original 100% to enlarge.

Day shooting sample summary: color and detail to capture are good, the only thing is I do not know why there is a lot of noise, logically the stack should have better performance in quality, but here shot proof but doesn't. Hope the future OPPO can optimize.

HDR

HDR off

HDR opening, keep lantern, unopened lanterns is the normal color of the HDR effect when, after opening, many Lantern color should be bright. It is because Find5 HDR effect makes the whole sky was grey, already brighter lanterns and bright.

HDR opening, pay attention to the left side of the screen to the original gray walls, opened after the HDR, just overall a purple.

Small crawling pigments using PS color picker, grab the points are the same part of the wall, you can see the wall not open HDR effect is white-gray, to commence after the HDR, the color field on the whole in favour of purple. Of course the problem vendors should also be improved, we can look forward to OPPO after optimization.

Following 3 are open the HDR effect shot proof, when the sky is clear, but open the HDR shot looks a bit grey and the effects of it.

HDR summary: after opening the color bias, not so good. Screen image gray.

Macro performance

Cap 100% screenshot, you can see the bottle a little Plaid texture very well expressed.

Macro summary: macro ability is very good, texture detail is clear, soft natural background, particularly macro samples with water bottle top, texture is properly completed.

Night images

This focus is set under the lights at night.

Taken under it is focusing in dark places at night.

On the different relationships to focus images on the image, you can see the phone 2 shot proof evaluation and tips shared the latter part of this article.

This 100% screenshot pictured above, picture noise is serious, clarity is poor.

Indoors darker environments, noise will be more points.

Night summary: because Find5 can not adjust the ISO, noise control is weaker, led night picture is not clear. Hope that all manufacturers can increase the option to adjust the ISO, noise control was further strengthened.

Night scene HDR concluded: at night was not under control of noise, open the HDR adds more noise, if you want to screen more pure and proposals directly with the normal shooting mode, this performance will be better.

Summary: Find5 shot during the day very good image, good colour and detail. Macro performance was very excellent and natural background blur is not stiff, and color performance as good. Night is a little bit disappointing. HDR effect is not as good as imagined, and do not require too much use. In shooting position themselves more aware of camera angles and to focus on it. Noise control is weak. If noise and HDR full effort, this phone is the camera will perform better. This depends on OPPO after optimization.
